There has been a lot going on since I've last posted in here. I do apologize for that. I've written two books already this year and...

I've got some news! I know it's been a while since I've written a blog post but since this isn't read very often I wanted to give you all a heads up. I have been working on finishing my NaNoWriMo project, which happens to be a romantic suspense/bordering on romantic thriller. I have plans for, at least, four books--for now. I am going to be writing under a pen name for this series because of how much darker it is compared to my historical romance/historical fiction books.

I don't even know how to start this blog post. I haven't written a newsletter or a blog post since A Spy for Minerva went live back in September. Since then, I have moved into my own apartment (I was living with my parents before), I have written 50k words for NaNoWriMo, and here I am (finally) sitting on my sofa writing this blog post. There are so many ideas going through my head and I don't have a clue if any of them are good or are they stupid. My NaNo project this year

A Spy for Minerva is finally out to the world. It is my first new release in forever...okay, so it's only been a year but it feels like longer. A Spy for Minerva is my baby. It's raw, full of intrigue and suspense. I've had one reviewer say that it was a little on the darker side. I have to admit that she was right. During the period I wrote the story, I was in a dark place, that's for sure. If you are interested in the story, I do have the links through my website.

The other day I had the overwhelming desire to listen to a song that I had listened to as a teen, Audio Adrenaline's "Underdog". Don't ask me why I thought of that song but I did. I don't listen too much in the way of music except when I am writing.

It has been a while since I have written in here. I should probably do it more often. If you are wondering, I have been doing a lot. Between the relaunch of A Rake for Juliana, the release of A Scene in Time audiobook, finishing up A Spy for Minerva (which will be releasing on August 23, 2021), writing two short stories, trying to finish up a historical mysteries series book, and starting to plot an erotic historical romance book for NanoWriMo--I am slowly driving myself craz

Being an independent author is a tough business, I have come to find. When I first started on my journey, I did giveaways on my author page and then my reader group but I was leaving out my biggest audience--my newsletter. This last year, I have started my newsletter only giveaways. This is my first book from author Mae Hardin. Right off the bat, I have to let you know that I don't normally like reading in the first person narrative. My opinion has not changed. With the bad out of the way, let's talk about what is good with the story. This book is absolutely amazing. I, literally, couldn't put it down. In fact, I was up until well after midnight reading this little gem.

I have never read anything by Eden Glenn before. But, I can tell you, I will be reading more of her books in the near future. Though, the book was a novella, it read like a full sized novel. She somehow cram packed the detail of a novel into a novella. The writing was superb. The characters were well thought out and carried the novella.

I have always been a fan of Meara Platt. Her books are witty and fun to read. They are clever and -- did I mention they were fun to read? This book is everything you have ever wanted in a romance novel. Amazing cast of characters, intrigue, and a love story.

This week, I've started a great saga written by T.J. London. I started with the prequel, since I like to start at a beginning of a timeline.
